My name is Cindy Hopkins, I am in my 10th year of teaching preschool.  I have Montessori Teaching Credentials which allow me to work with children from 3 years of age through kindergarten. My experience has provided me with opportunities to work in pure Montessori schools; Montessori Center Room and Country Hills Montessori which allowed me to see the gift this type of environment brings to our young children. I have been fortunate to bring the montessori environment to Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Veronica preschool for the 3 and 4 year olds.  Maria Monessori  said "Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.” and we follow that every day.  

Teaching is my second career, I worked in Business and sales for a couple of decades before having my family.  I am married to Cass and have 2 wonderful children, a son who just started his freshman year at Bellarmine University and a daughter who is Sophomore at McNicholas High School.  In my spare time I work with Your Place Your Way helping a senior couple with life tasks and companionship.  I was raised with a developmentally disabled sister and it has taught me every person learns differently, every person matters, and every person needs to know they are valued no matter how old or young.
