Students visit the library once a week. During library time, students learn to navigate the library and check out books to take home. Students in grades pre-K through 3rd grade may check out one book each library class. Students in grades 4-8 are allowed to have up to two books checked out at any time. If a student forgets to return their book, no new book may be checked out until it is returned. If an older student who is allowed to check out two books forgets to return one, only one new book may be checked out. Students who need an additional week to finish their book have the option to renew their book during their library class.
If a book is lost or damaged to where it cannot be put back in circulation, it must be paid for.
Through the Accelerated Reader program, students are able to find an appropriate book based on their reading comprehension.
Book fairs help fund the purchase of new library books, supplies, and videos.
